1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using PermitX, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using PermitX on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
PermitX is provided by Quotograph. Your use of PermitX is also governed by the Quotograph Terms of Service, which apply in addition to the terms below. Where the two documents cover the same subject, the terms specific to PermitX apply to your use of PermitX. 2. What PermitX does
PermitX helps you locate permit requirements, interpret local bylaws, and verify approval status through an automated chat interface and related tools. PermitX is an informational and workflow tool. It is not a permit authority, a municipal office, or a legal advisor, and it does not issue, grant, or guarantee any permit or approval.

3. Important disclaimer on accuracy and reliance
Bylaws, permit rules, and approval processes change often and vary between municipalities. PermitX draws on available sources to give you helpful guidance, but that guidance may be incomplete, out of date, or incorrect for your specific situation.
You are responsible for confirming any information from PermitX with the relevant municipal authority, permit office, or qualified professional before you rely on it. Do not begin work, submit filings, or make commitments based only on output from PermitX. You use PermitX and any guidance it provides at your own risk.

4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.

5. Acceptable use
When using PermitX, you agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any bylaw, regulation, or law.

• Upload content that infringes the rights of others or that you do not have permission to share.

• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems.

• Resell, redistribute, or provide access to PermitX to third parties outside your organization without our written consent.

• Use the service to build or train a competing product.

We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms.

6. Intellectual property
PermitX, including its software, design, and content, is owned by Quotograph and its partners and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non exclusive, non transferable right to use PermitX for your internal business purposes while these terms are in effect. You keep ownership of the content you upload, and you grant us the rights needed to operate the service and provide it to you, as described in the Privacy Policy below.

7. Fees
If your use of PermitX is on a paid plan, the applicable fees, billing cycle, and payment terms will be set out at signup or in a separate agreement. Fees are non refundable except where required by law or stated otherwise in writing.

8. Disclaimer of warranties
PermitX is provided on an as is and as available basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any guidance it provides will be accurate or complete.

9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quotograph, its partners, and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business, arising out of or related to your use of PermitX. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for PermitX in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Quotograph and its partners harmless from any claims, damages, or costs arising from your use of PermitX, your content, or your breach of these terms.

11. Changes to the service and terms
We may update PermitX and these terms from time to time. When we make material changes to the terms, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, give you notice. Your continued use of PermitX after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to PermitX.
